KVIC (Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme)

3. Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP, 1995-96 to 2007-08): Sponsored loan proposals to banks, ensuring compliance with KVIC criteria.
   The Board supports seven village industry groups: Agro & Food Based, Forest Based, Hand Made Paper & Fibre, Mineral Based, Polymer & Chemical Based, Rural Engineering & Bio-Tech, and Service & Textile (excluding Khadi). In 2023-24, the Board achieved production of ₹15312.88 lakh, sales of ₹26346.68 lakh, employment for 29,136 individuals, and wages of ₹10132.93 lakh. The Board also provides backward and forward linkages like EDP training, exhibitions, and awareness camps, though no such activities were reported in 2023-24.
