Constitution of the Board

To promote sustainable rural developmeThe Board comprises 3 to 9 members appointed by the State Government. It includes official members such as the Industries Minister (Chairman), Principal Secretaries (Industries and Finance), Director of Industries, and the CEO. Non-official members are also nominated by the government.nt through Khadi and Village Industries (KVI) by generating employment and enhancing self-reliance.

Presently, the Board is having/consists of Chairman and the following four official  and  one non-official members nominated by the Government till date:-

1	Hon’ble Industries Minister, Himachal Pradesh	Chairman
2	Addl. Chief Secretary (Industries) to the Govt. of H.P.	Member (Official)
3	Secretary (Finance) to the Govt. of H.P.	Member (Official)
4	Director Industries, Himachal Pradesh	Member (Official)
5	Chief Executive Officer, H.P. Khadi & V.I. Board	Member (Official)
6	Sh. Sudershan Singh, District Kangra	Member (Non-official)

The Headquarter of the Board is at Shimla. The Board has its District level Offices and Sub units where activities of the Board are undertaken. The policy decisions are taken by the  Board and the  Chairman controls the over all working of the Board and the administrative functions are looked after by the Chief Executive Officer of the Board.
